Temporary Curatorial Assistant, Public Programmes

We are currently recruiting a Temporary Curatorial Assistant who will be part of the Public Programmes Team.  The successful candidate will assist the Public Programmes Curator and Assistant Curator in organising and delivering all aspects of the Serpentine Galleries’ programme of performances, talks, conversations, screenings and other live events, both on-site and off-site, as well as providing research support to the Artistic Director.

You will have excellent communication skills, be capable of multi-tasking whilst maintaining great attention to detail, as well as some previous experience in producing events in a highly demanding environment.  They must be able work both independently as well as part of a team to present events such as the Park Nights Series and the annual Marathon and be able to prioritise your workload effectively.  The ideal candidate will be a problem solver who is reliable, full of initiative and can demonstrate a keen interest in being involved in the Serpentine’s exciting programmes.

Temporary Assistant Education Curator

We are currently recruiting for an organised, personable Assistant Curator to work in the Education Team on a temporary basis until 31 March 2018.  The successful candidate will support the Education Curator to develop and deliver a range of artists’ residencies, commissions, workshops and events for the Serpentine Galleries.  The role requires experience of and enthusiasm for working with children and young people, supporting artists, as well as experience of administrative and organisational tasks.

The Assistant Curator is part of the wider Serpentine Team, which works together to ensure the smooth running of the Galleries as well as to promote the Serpentine as one of the leading modern and contemporary galleries internationally.
