Paul Maheke was the lead artist on the 2015 Moving Up commission at Gateway Academy in Westminster, North London. Working alongside dancer Benny Ord, filmmaker Filip Tulak, and Year 6 pupils and teachers. The project took the form of a series of performative and discursive workshops designed to hold the space for Year 6 pupils to reflect on and share thoughts about their transition from Primary to Secondary school.  A resource following Paul Maheke’s residency is currently in the final stages of production to be launched in the 2016-17 academic year.

Unwritten Handbook is a seasonal series of conversations with artists commissioned through Education and Projects at the Serpentine Galleries. Recent Artist Talks include: Stephanie Cubbin, Chris Jones and Janna Graham, Bedfellows, Anton Kats, Frances Rifkin, Invisible Spaces of Parenthood, Sam Curtis and Mohamad Hafeda.
